چکیده
ABSTRACT Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized cancer therapy and outcomes, leading to an expanding use in millions of patients worldwide. However, they can cause a spectrum immune-related adverse events (irAEs). Essentially, any organs be affected by irAEs, which emerged as therapy-limiting side effects. In the kidneys, ICI-associated acute interstitial nephritis (ICI-AIN) leads kidney injury (AKI) 2%–5% on ICI therapy. AKI associated with pathologically presents AIN nearly 90% cases, but pathophysiology ICI-AIN remains defined. The generation autoreactive T cells receiving AIN-inducible drugs, such proton pump (PPIs), is one theories, supported higher incidence these drugs. this review, we will discuss our understanding incidence, potential pathophysiological mechanisms, clinical presentations, risk factors, diagnosis, management PPI-related its interaction

Interaction between clopidogrel and proton pump inhibitors.
The drug interaction between proton pump inhibitors and clopidogrel has been the subject of much study in recent years. Contradictory results regarding the effect of proton pump inhibitors on platelet reactivity and on clinical outcome in clopidogrel-treated patients have been reported in literature. Concomitant use of omeprazole and clopidogrel was found to decrease the exposure (AUC) to clopi...

While proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) have beneficial therapeutic and prophylactic indications for many patients, increasing evidence suggests that these medications are not without risk; inpatient use of PPIs has been shown to increase the risk of hospital-acquired pneumonia by up to 30% [2]. Community-acquired pneumonia is also more common in patients who have started PPI therapy within the pas...
متن کاملRenal Toxicity Related to Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors
As early as the 18th century, physicians noticed that some cancer patients went into remission after developing fevers from infections. This led to the idea that the immune system, which protects from infection, might also fight cancer. What is now known as “immunotherapy” is a treatment that targets the immune system to recognize and eradicate cancer cells. Modern immunotherapy has focused on ...

AIM To investigate the association between the use of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and acute interstitial nephritis (AIN). METHODS The Netherlands Pharmacovigilance Centre Lareb received seven case reports of AIN induced by various PPIs. In five of the reports it was mentioned that the diagnosis was confirmed by a renal biopsy. RESULTS The time to onset varied between hours to 4 months. In...
